Keeping It Buried // OPEN
It was a cool night, even for California in December, and Meg was bundled up in order to enjoy her cigarette and the quiet of outside. It was going to be her first Christmas out there, and with Pops not living with her anymore she knew it was going to be a bit lonely and she was considering going back to LA just for the holiday. A few of the crew from the shop back there had already called to invite her, and she still wasn’t entirely sure - and then her phone went off to alert her that she had a text.
Looking down at her phone she frowned.
<From: Miguel> Heard you’re coming back for Christmas. Can’t wait to see you, baby. I’ll be waiting with a drink beneath the mistletoe.
It was a simple enough message but it nearly made Meg gag. The LA charter pres was the one night stand that just wouldn’t end and it was almost enough to make her give up on hooking up with men altogether. It had been two years since she had given him so much as a civil word beyond ‘hey’ and ‘stop calling me’ and still he wasn’t giving up and right there she made her decision to stay in Charming - she would far rather spend Christmas alone than deal with Miguel’s sleaze.
A decent mood fairly ruined and her cigarette having gone out, her frown deepened as she searched for her lighter but to no avail.
"Hey," she said, turning when she heard someone come outside "You got a light?"
